According to Trend, Turkish company Altrade plans to build its first factory in Kazakhstan for processing aluminum produced in the Pavlodar region.
The project was announced at a meeting between Altrade representatives and regional executive bodies. The factory is expected to produce 18,000 tons of aluminum plates per year, which will be mainly used in aerospace and automotive, construction, food, and global household appliances.
The investment in the first phase of the project is approximately 8 billion tenge (Kazakhstan currency, approximately US$17.2 million) and will create more than 100 jobs.
The investment in the second phase of the project is approximately 9 billion tenge (approximately US$19.3 million), and production will be expanded by increasing the number of workers.
During the construction of the factory, environmentally friendly technologies will be used, solar panels and chimney filters will be introduced, and liquefied gas will be used as fuel to avoid harmful emissions.
