This year marked the launch of the first China-Europe freight train "Kuytun" special train for aluminum products

On May 26th, a train carrying aluminum radiator panels departed from Kuytun Station, heading to Almaty, Kazakhstan. This marked the first "Kuytun" aluminum products train of the year for China-Europe freight services, signaling the accelerated development of the "Kuytun" China-Europe freight service. The train was carrying aluminum radiator panels produced by Xinjiang Zhishengda Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd., with a total weight of 1,300 tons. This marked the first time the company utilized a dedicated train for transportation. In the future, Kuytun City will employ various modes of transportation and operate at least one "Kuytun" China-Europe freight train per month, facilitating the entry of local Xinjiang products into markets outside the region. Kuytun City is located on the "Golden Corridor," a major trade and logistics route connecting China to Central Asia, South Asia, West Asia, and Europe. With its unique geographical advantage, Kuytun launched its first international freight train in January 2015. In recent years, the commercial and trade activities in Kuytun have become increasingly active, with deeper engagement in domestic and international economic cooperation. The city has been proactively integrating into and serving the new development framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The number of China-Europe freight train services has been steadily increasing, from initially operating three trains per year to over 40 trains per year at present. Since the beginning of this year, Kuytun City has leveraged its geographical advantages and the platforms of the Kuytun-Dushanzi Economic and Technological Development Zone and the Kuytun Bonded Logistics Center. It has actively promoted the regular operation of the "Kuytun" China-Europe freight train service. Han Jiming, Deputy General Manager of Kuytun Freight Center, China Railway Urumqi Bureau Group Co., Ltd., mentioned that the freight center in Kuytun has been accurately monitoring the transportation plans and directions of enterprises. They have real-time knowledge of the stocking and consolidation status of customers' goods. The center has also strengthened the allocation of loading and unloading equipment and manpower, streamlined transportation processes, improved service chains, and provided new impetus for the "Kuytun" China-Europe freight train service to facilitate the internationalization and integration of "Made in Xinjiang" products into the new development framework. Han further added, "We will continue to optimize the organization of train transportation, reduce logistics costs for enterprises, and promote the outbound operations of more China-Europe freight trains."
